Peak Pergolas was set up to do one thing well: design and build outdoor structures for homes across Dandenong and the City of Greater Dandenong, and nearby suburbs from Mulgrave to Lyndhurst. Pergolas, verandahs, patios and carports are the whole focus, from replacement pergolas on post-war homes in Noble Park and Springvale to first patios on new estate homes in Keysborough.
The business is built around the conditions of the south-east: frequent rain, with about 103 wet days a year at Moorabbin Airport, a summer sea breeze, and ground that changes from sandy Sandbelt soil to clay and former swamp land. Every structure is designed for those conditions rather than taken from a catalogue.

Each job runs the same way. It starts with a free measure, where the house, the eave height, the roof pitch, the slab and the access are recorded and the options are talked through. A written, itemised quote follows, so every part of the price can be seen.
Once the quote is accepted, drawings and engineering are prepared, any estate guidelines or owners corporation rules are checked, and the building permit is arranged through a private building surveyor where one is needed. Construction starts only after approval, and the work is inspected at each required stage before handover.

The builder who measures the job is responsible for building it, so the design that was quoted is the design that gets built. Specialist trades are brought in only where the job needs them: a licensed electrician for lights, fans and motorised louvre roofs, and an engineer for the structural design.
Keeping the same person involved from the first visit to the final inspection means questions are answered by someone who knows the job, and nothing is lost between the quote and the build.

Every structure is engineered for its site. Post footings are sized from a soil test that classifies the block under Australian Standard AS 2870, every connection from roof sheet to footing is tied down for the wind, gutters are sized for the roof area, and timber posts sit on galvanised stirrups clear of the soil.
Building permits are arranged for every verandah, roofed patio and carport, and for any pergola outside the Victorian exemption limits of 20 square metres, 3.6 metres high and 2.5 metres in front of the house. The rules are explained in plain language on the pergola permits page.

Homeowners choose Peak Pergolas for a focused service: outdoor structures only, one team from measure to handover, written quotes with every item listed and every permit handled. Each pergola, patio, verandah and carport is drawn to the house it belongs to, so it drains properly, clears the windows and looks part of the home.
